Charles McEwan died from wounds on 1st December, 1914, while a prisoner of war but as yet there is no information as to when and where he was wounded or captured. The 2nd battalion of the Scots Guards, at thast time part of 20 Brigade, 7th Division that had been on the Western Front since October, 1914. |
